Easy morning - read, worked on internet, saved old pictures to flash drive for backup. It rained a little early, but then cleared off. Went to Coconut Point Mall to have lunch at Panera Bread, spent lots of time at Borders bookstore, Linda did some shopping.

HOUSING STATISTICS - In 2008, there were 11 times as many foreclosures as in 2006. The average was 76 homes a DAY were foreclosed! That’s a whole neighborhood, every day!!
In March of 2006, there were over 900 building permits issued. In Dec. of 2008, only 28 were issued. For ALL of 2008, only 482 were issued.
As of Jan. 16, 2009, these were for sale in Lee County - 10,707 single family homes, 5012 condominiums, 684 muti-family homes, and 278 mobile homes.
