Got up at 4 a.m. (that’s early even for Bob!), taxi came at 5 a.m. to take us to the airport, flew out at 6:30 a.m. on U.S.Airways to Charlotte, landing at 8:20, leaving at 10 to Chicago, landing at 11:15. David left work to pick us up, ate lunch at his house, stayed to see Matthew and Delaney after school, David took us to Laura’s house. Diane came to Laura’s with Brooke and Paige after school, we ate supper together, and Diane brought us to Mazon. A long and tiring day, but a wonderful day because we got to see everyone again after 6 weeks in FL. Lots of hugs and kisses! It will be hard (especially for Grandma) to go back to FL on the 18th.

The air felt pretty cool after 80 degrees in FL, but to folks here, 60 degrees seems warm. We were prepared, with sweaters and jackets on, but lots of people here were in shirt sleeves.
