March 7
We went to Lakes Park this morning. Linda walked and Bob biked. Home for lunch, said good-bye to our neighbors. Jim and Connie Cooper are from MI, just north of Flint, and this was there first time here. We got to know them well in a short time - they both are very nice. We could talk for hours. Sorry to see them go. Late afternoon we went to Coconut Point mall to the book store, had coffee and a treat, read books and magazines (without buying any! They shouldn’t have those soft chairs to sit in unless they want people like us to use them like a library!) Went to Panera Bread for soup and sandwich, then home for the evening.

March 6
Linda walked and got the paper. In order to ride in a different area, I took my bike about a mile or so south to ride in San Carlos Park. Found an interesting place to stay called Pyramid Village. The condos are cement pyramids, really different looking, and the area is very nice with a large pond for swimming with filtered water from a spring. Home for lunch, late afternoon we went to Starbucks at Miromar for coffee and a treat. Rode around a little, showed Linda the Pyramid resort.
FROM THE PAPER:
State Farm Florida, the second largest insurer of homes in the state, has announced its intentions to go out of business after the state turned down a requested 47% rate increase. Company officials said the insurer will soon become insolvent even without any hurricanes. The state-created Citizens Property Insurance Company has become Florida’s largest property insurance company, even though it was intended to be an insurer of last resort.

March 5
Went for a long bike ride, Linda walked. Lunch here, then late afternoon we went to the library.

March 4
Went to Six Mile Cypress after lunch, stopped at Sun Harvest Citrus for free juice and a soft-serve cone. Linda had key lime, Bob had orange-vanilla twist. Boy, is it good! This is a large store, with an area in which you can purchase and ship citrus to anywhere.
